BRAIN AWARENESS WEEK 2009
BRAIN’S DAY 4: FOUR WAYS TO NEUROSCIENCES
LUBLIN, POLAND
We would be pleased to invite you to the fourth edition of our conference ‘The Brain’s Day 4: Four ways to Neurosciences’ which will take place at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin on 19th and 20th of March 2009.
‘The Brain’s Day’ is a scientific conference for the general public, with numerous
lectures, workshops and discussions. We have organized it since 2005, and in 2008 the conference had its third edition.
The event is meant to popularize knowledge of such domains as neuroscience, neuropsychology, and cognitive psychology. The aim of the lectures is to present these areas of scientific interests to the wider audience and encourage young people to take a more profound interest in the presented topics.
In the course of our scientific events, we present films, audiovisual shows and interviews with prominent Polish and international scientists who explain complex and extensive knowledge about the brain in a vivid and accessibleway.
By participating in workshops, students have a unique chance to acquire new skills,
gain useful experience and get to know people with similar interests
Moreover, our conference plays a significant role in integrating leading scientists from
Poland and other countries.
In March 2009 we would like to organize an international conference for neuroscientists from over all the world. The conference will have four thematic blocs:
1. Self, agency and others: from mirror neurons to social neuroscience
2. Methods in minds: from clinical to personal
3. Brain plasticity: from neuron to brain integration
4. Prostheses and interfaces: from neuroergonomics to eurocommunication
